Who is BarkVille Dog Rescue?

BarkVille Dog Rescue, formerly known as BarkTown Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization committed to saving dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages.  We are a non-breed specific rescue, and we do not exclude dogs due to extensive medical needs.  Our goal is to save dogs in the most need of rescue assistance, including older dogs, medically challenged dogs, and PitBull Terrier type dogs. We work with our friends and donors to raise the funds necessary to provide life-saving treatments for the dogs we rescue and to identify the best foster situations for the dogs in our care.

We realize that overpopulation is the biggest reason that so many dogs lose their lives in shelters in Georgia and we are committed to helping those in need with spay/neuter assistance.  All of our adoptable dogs are sterilized prior to adoption.

Founded in 2016, BarkVille Dog Rescue is a Georgia Department of Agriculture licensed rescue and a non-profit organization.  In 2018, we expanded our rescue network to include a Northeast Division.  Now, in addition to GA, we are licensed to adopt dogs to families in CT, NJ, PA, WV and CT.
