Mack is a handsome, affectionate Staffy/Cattle Dog mix who is 6 years old and weighs 68 lbs. He is an obedient, playful, often lazy boy who was originally surrendered to a rural GA shelter because he could not get along with the cats in his home. He was a staff favorite at the shelter, but was Heartworm positive and was consistently overlooked by adopters due to his HW condition. BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled Mack from the shelter, treated his HW disease, and placed him in a loving home. Unfortunately, his dad can no longer keep him so Mack is in need of a new home. Mack is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, fully vaccinated & microchipped. He has received professional training, has good leash manners, and knows basic commands. Mack had a hip replacement last year and his agility, along with weight management, has put him in great physical condition. He likes taking short walks, but mostly enjoys being a couch potato. He currently lives with another dog and while they get along, it is clear that Mack is the Alpha and would do best as an only dog. He's looking for a calm, laid-back household with a fenced yard and a person/family who wants a dog that likes to stay close to his people. Mack is a wonderful companion dog who will gratefully accept all the love & attention his person/family has to offer!
