Jerry is an adorable, affectionate Boxer/Pittie (possibly Plott Hound) mix who is 10 months old and weighs 40 lbs. This poor boy came to BarkVille so starved & malnourished that his hip bones were protruding through his skin, but BarkVille was able to place him in a wonderful foster home where he is slowly gaining weight and learning how great it feels to be healthy & strong! Jerry can do well in a home with kids & other dogs, but definitely no cats or small animals (he will chase them if given the opportunity). He is a medium energy boy with good leash manners and is currently learning basic commands in his foster home. He is still recuperating from being extremely malnourished so his play times are limited and he is very guarded around his food. Older kids are probably best as he may nip when taking treats, and he should always be fed separately if other dogs are in the home. Jerry is looking for an active home with a person/family who will exercise him daily. A fenced yard would be a plus. He is a happy, loving pup who is crate trained, fully vaccinated & microchipped. He is currently being housebroken in his foster home and will be neutered before going to his forever home.
