Django is a happy, gentle Retriever mix who is 7 years old and weighs 55 lbs. He is a precious, obedient, social boy who was with his family for 7 years, but was surrendered to the shelter when his parents had twins. He is currently in a foster home with older kids and other dogs and has been fine with everyone. His foster mom says he is loyal, loves to be near his people, happily greets his humans when they come home from work, and is very attuned to the emotions of the people around him. He is a medium energy boy with good leash manners who knows basic commands and loves car rides! He would be perfectly happy being an only dog or he could thrive with a calm canine friend. He is looking for a home with a fenced yard and lots of tennis balls, squeaky toys and Nylabones to play with. He very recently hurt his hip and is getting ready to have surgery, but BarkVille will cover all his medical costs. He is available now for a foster-to-adopt situation until he is fully recovered from his surgery and is medically cleared for adoption. He is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, fully vaccinated & microchipped.
