Banks

Banks is a gorgeous & sweet Lab/Mastiff mix who is 2 years old and weighs 70 lbs. He is a gentle, affectionate, energetic boy who sadly was chained to a tree as a puppy and was tormented by people throwing rocks/cans at him and sometimes shooting at him. It was only just recently that a BarkVille volunteer was able to convince his owner to surrender him to Rescue in the hopes of giving him a better life. Banks is a strong, goofy, playful boy with a HUGE head who is currently learning basic commands along with leash & house manners in his foster home. He's making good progress everyday, but he'll need a family committed to training him and a home with a fenced yard and maybe a kid or 2 for him to call his own.

Banks is HW+ and is currently available for a foster to adopt situation until his HW treatment is completed this month and he is medically cleared for adoption. If you are not familiar with Heartworm disease, dogs get it from mosquitos and it is not contagious. It is easily prevented & highly treatable, but requires extended rest during treatment. Banks is neutered, fully vaccinated & microchipped.
